Job Description
TERRITORY MANAGER
Position Focus:
The role of the Territory Manager is critical in expanding sales in our areas while distinguishing Black Equipment’s products and services from the competition.
This position involves cultivating sustainable, profitable customer relationships and promoting sales of lift trucks, services, and rentals within the assigned territory to ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
The Territory Manager is expected to consistently adhere to all Black Equipment standards in alignment with the company’s direction.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities, penetrate markets, design solutions, present proposals, and effectively close deals tailored to respective product categories.
- Enhance profitability with core accounts by promoting lift trucks, parts, services, industrial batteries, chargers, and rentals.
- Meet or exceed profitability targets as assigned.
- Elevate professionalism through continuous improvement in product and industry knowledge and interpersonal skills.
- Attend and actively engage in company-sponsored training and industry trade seminars.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.

MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency in strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Mastery of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
- Proven ability to solve complex customer problems and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Exceptional skills in building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Capability to assess and resolve intricate customer situations.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in selling complex products, with a preference for experience in warehouse products.
- In-depth understanding of warehouse operations, encompassing shipping and receiving, put-away, order picking, replenishment, facilities management, throughput, cycle counting, transportation, and logistics.
