Job Description

SERVICE MANAGER – $77k+/yr

• Manage overall service operations at the Hopkinsville, KY branch.
• Assist customers during repair by opening work orders, entering purchase orders, costing invoices, etc.
• Maintain a service follow-up system that supports and contributes to customer happiness.
• Supervise all service department personnel as well as monitor performance with customers.

SUMMARY

Black Equipment is looking for a Service Manager to manage the service department. Position includes managing service personnel, handling customer repairs and questions, as well as meeting customer expectations.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively within a team and with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner and billed appropriately.
• Assist in reviews of all expenditures to ensure they are accurate and coded to the correct accounting classification.
• Perform various data entry and clerical assignments.
• Prepare accurate and timely departmental reports.

EXPERIENCE

Ideal candidate will have the following:

• Minimum 1 year of management experience
• Mechanical experience or ability to display mechanical aptitude
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Effective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

CERTIFICATES & LICENSES

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Ability to commute / relocate:

Hopkinsville, KY 42240: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work. (Required)
